BLOG 6A- YEARLY AWARDS

Most interesting part of class: My favorite part of English 2 was talking about Transcendentalism and Gothic things. I liked it because it was unlike anything we had ever learned about before.

Most boring/useless part of this class: Writing papers.

Hardest I laughed in this class: I laughed a lot in this class. I don’t think there is one particular moment that stands out in my head.

Thing that I learned that would be the most useful in the real world: You were a hard as butt grader, so when you graded harder I knew that I had to do my best work to do well in your class. So, working hard.

Best things about Brigs as a teacher: That you always expected us to do our best work, and graded us accordingly. You never let us slack off.

Thing Brigs could do in the future to make his class better: Nothing that I can think of.

WEEK 5A - DUMB LAWS

A state law requires that a man's female companion shall call him "master" while out on a date. The law does not apply to married couples.

Discrimination against women? I would never call a dude, Master I would probably rather puke than do that. Men are not my Master, so therefore I see absolutely no need to call them my master. I have authority over myself, and they are not my parents. So I think that that is absolutely stupid.

Humming on public streets is prohibited on Sundays.
I can hum when I would like to hum, if it is Thursday or Sunday I can do it. What are they going to do about it.

Spitting on the sidewalk is a criminal offense.
That’s retarded. If someone needs to spit they should be able to spit.

WEEK 4A- DOLLAR DOLLAR BILLS YA'LL

If I had 5 million dollars I would spend some of it for fun, but I would mostly use it wisely. I would give 30% of it to my church. Then I would give l0% of it to a cancer research foundation since my Dad has cancer. I would spend $10,000 for fun, over a period of time. Then I would save the rest for my family and future things. I would buy myself a car. And also, take my parents on a really nice vacation, because they do a lot fo me, and I know that they would really appreciate the time away. I would also buy a house on the beach, because I love the ocean.

IF I WERE A...BLOG 3A

If I were a Superhero I would be Mermaid Man or Barnacle Boy, because they have awesome costumes and they are never too old to do the stuff they want to. They have invisible cars and many costumes and lots of fans.

If I were a type of food, I would be an onion. Because onions have layers, and I have layers. To me. And sometimes after I play sports or something I stink, and when I spend a lot of outside I sprout hairs. No I don’t really, that’s Shrek.

If I were a color I would be the rainbow, because when I’m really mad I’d defiantly be red. When I was orange I would think of a tan in the summer, but not a fake orange tan, a real tan. And when I’m feeling yellow I think of vacation at the beach and the sun. When I feel green I feel really rich, like I’m rolling in it. When I think of blue I think of the ocean and of the rain, and I love when it rains. When I feel purple I think of my birthday, cause purple is like a royal color, and my family treats me like royalty on my birthday!

If I were a type of music I would be a lyrical song, because I’m a very wordy person. I listen to the lyrics more than the instrumental part of it.

If I were a car I would be Lightning McQueen. Because he is fast and super fun!

WEEK 2A - A STAR IS BORN

If I could star in any movie, I would star in a scary movie. It would be the most scary movie that has ever hit the theatres. It would truly bother you, so that you couldn’t sleep afterward. My co-stars would be Cam Gigandet and Sean Faris. They are amazing actors and also so good looking. It would take place on an island, and my wardrobe would be completely amazing. I would kiss both of them, and they would both thoroughly enjoy it, but so would I. That would be the best movie ever, ever, ever. Everyone would watch it, and be number 1 in the box offices.

WEEK 1A -- WHAT A FRIGHT!

The best fun scary I have ever experienced was in 8th grade. I got a bunch of my friends together and all of us went to a haunted house in Bloomington. We all were scared to death. We screamed our heads off. Then afterward we all went to McDonalds and played on the play place for a long time. It was so much fun. The most scared scared I have ever been was last year when me and my best friend Hank, had a ritual that we always watched scary movies. So one weekend we were watching a scary movie and it was the most truly scary, movie I have ever seen. This girl was hung from the ceiling by her hair. It was so disturbing. I have never been that scared in my whole entire life.

WEEK 7 - GRIZZLY YOU!

If I were “Grizzly Woman” and could go anywhere in the world to live alone. I would live in the Rainforest. The Rainforest would be a good place to live because it is so beautiful, and I could make my own medicine from tree bark and from natural things, and that would mean that I’m the most Transcendentalist , Transcendentalist. It would also be ok for me to do my own thing and not have to worry about time and having to do things by a schedule. I think that is what I would like the most about living alone.

OFFEND NOBODY - WEEK 6

I think censorship has its place. I think that if your willing to listen to a radio station, or turn on a TV channel that doesn’t use censorship than you need to be willing to accept the things that are said on that station. As for young children, I think that parents should be the filter for their kids, if the parents listen to it why shouldn’t the kids be able to? I think that in children’s stations, Nickelodeon, Disney and also like the News channels like that shouldn’t be able to not use censorship, other than that I think it is kind of listen at your own risk. Teens hear those words on a daily basis in their lives so I don’t understand how it is too different. Censorship has good and bad parts.

ONE MORE DAY - WEEK 5

If I only had 24 hours to live I would pretend time wasn’t of the essence and do everything I’ve always wanted to do. I would go to Paris, because it’s a life long goal that I see the Eiffel Tower before I died. I would sky dive, and cliff jump. I’d do something wreck less, and, I would most certainly get married. Nothing Vegas-ish though. I would go to the ocean one more time. And spend all the time I could with my family, but I would never tell anyone that I knew I was going to die, because I wouldn’t want people to be different or awkward around me. I’d want them to be themselves around me. I’d tell everyone that I ever had a conflict with that it should all be over that that I love them, and but id also tell the people that I always got along with that I loved them. I’d go to church one more time. I’d keep myself busy all 24 of those hours, because I wouldn’t want to think about what was coming all too soon. And maybe after I died, people would understand what living was all about. Doing the things you want to do, with no regards to time.

MUST SEE TV - WEEK 4

If I could revitalize any TV show, I would re-do Dora the Explorer. That show is the worst children’s show there is, ever. First of all, their songs are the worst rhymes ever. They are about three words that repeat themselves over and over again. That’s not a song, that is ridiculous. Dora is a young Mexican girl(not that there is anything wrong with that) I just think that her mixing English and Spanish is rather silly, because her audience is young children that aren’t all that knowledgeable in the English language and how to properly use words. Mixing in another language in while they are trying to just pick up the first is going to do nothing but effect there native language. Diego is absolutely no better. If your in any sort of relation to Dora the Explorer I will not watch your show.

FREE WRITE - WEEK 3

I personally think that blogs are rather pointless, no offense. I think that they're not taken for a grade and you don't really ever do them for fun, atleast not people I talk to, so I don't really see the point in them. Sometimes, we have fun topics to blog about, but mmost of the time they are hard and no fun. My all-time favorite blog topic we have ever recieved, was in Enlish 1 with Mr. Seline, it was if you could pick a super hero power which one would it be. I picked invisibility I think. I have read some peoples blog's that I know, and they were good, but not very many people I know and talk to on a regular basis blog just for fun. It's just not something a lot of people do just for fun.

WEEK 2 - MY ANIMAL

The animal I most closely represent would be a mixture of every single animal ever. I think that would be most likely to be like me, because over time you change and when you change you become more or less like things you used to be like. And when your feeling one way, or acting another way you may represent different animals in different ways. I think when you are a mixture of everything it gives you the versatility that you are when you are like a human, it gives you the chance to be what you want to be without being tied down to the one way street of classifying yourself as just one animal.

I WOULD MEET!

If I could meet anyone, it would be Jesus. I would pick him for the soul reason being; bragging rights, haha no just kidding. I wouldn’t pick him for that, I would pick him so I could listen to him, tell the stories of the people who followed him, from the actual person who was there. Not that the bible isn’t good and all, I just think it would give me more perspective, respect and realization for the people and the trials and tribulations they experienced, in their time. I think it would also be very cool to say I had met Jesus, and listened to him tell the tales of his life. Like most people say they saw him in the dream, I can say well I saw him and spoke to him in person. I think that would be totally sweet.
